SkoobiBuild is a field-operations and time-tracking tool for construction companies, operated by SkoobiLabs (“we”, “us”). If you use SkoobiBuild as a crew member, the company that invited you (“your employer”) is the owner of your work data; we process it on their behalf. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and, if your employer sets one, your hourly rate. Used to sign you in and calculate your pay-period totals.
- Location — only while you are clocked in. When you tap Clock In, SkoobiBuild records your device location (including in the background) so your employer can see where work happened, how long jobs took, and the route driven. Location collection stops the moment you clock out. We do not track you when you are off the clock.
- Time entries & photos — your clock-in/out times and any job photos you choose to attach to a shift.
- Diagnostics — anonymous crash and usage data to keep the app working (see processors below).
Who can see your data
Your work data — including your location while clocked in — is visible to your employer (the company that invited you) and to no other customer. Each company’s data is fenced from every other company’s at the database level. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.
Service providers
We use a small set of processors to run the service: Supabase (secure data storage + authentication), Sentry (crash reporting), and PostHog (anonymous product analytics). They process data only to provide their service to us.
Retention & deletion
Work records are kept for as long as your employer maintains their account, so timesheets and payroll stay accurate. You may request a copy of your data or its deletion by emailing ask@skoobilabs.com or by asking your employer. Where deletion would conflict with your employer’s legal record-keeping (e.g. payroll), we will honor it to the extent the law allows.
Your choices
- You can turn off location permission in your device settings at any time — but SkoobiBuild needs it to record a shift, so clocking in won’t work without it.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data (see above).
Children
SkoobiBuild is a workplace tool and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We’ll update this page if our practices change and revise the date above.
